Johann has been involved in corporate finance since 1998, with experience in listings, mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, leverage buy-outs, private equity, capital raising and other corporate finance related disciplines. He founded Intellifin in 2003 and since then consulted to various medium to large companies on corporate finance matters such as valuations, due diligence, transaction structuring and M&A transaction facilitation.
As the company evolved, Johann found his focus falling more and more on facilitating and bringing value to M&A transactions for its clients – mostly corporate acquirers but also business sellers. These services are now the particular focus of Pollination Capital.
Johann is also a seasoned speaker and shares his research findings and practical experience on a regular basis. He has presented at more than 50 corporate finance-related seminars since 2008 – in South Africa’s major business centres and abroad, in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Adding to his Chartered Accountant qualification, Johann completed a Master’s Degree in Financial Management in 2006. He has lectured accounting and finance university students and is a contributing author of Financial Management - From theory to practice, a new university textbook for Accounting Honours students.
Johann assists Intellifin in structuring corporate transactions and doing corporate valuations.
